MENGNIU DAIRY<02319> - Suspension of Trading

At the request of China Mengniu Dairy Company Limited (the "Company"),
trading in its shares has been suspended with effect from 9:30 a.m. today
(14/6/2005) pending the publication of an announcement which contains 
price sensitive information (under Rule 13.09 (1) of the Listing Rules) 
relating to the conversion of the convertible instruments by MS Dairy 
Holdings, CDH China Fund L.P. and Actis China Investment Company Limited 
(the "Financial Investors") and the placing of the Company's shares by the 
Financial Investors and also Jinniu Milk Industry Limited and Yinniu Milk 
Industry Limited, the manangement shareholders of the Company.
